Matse Uwatse shares inspiring testimony of her transition from single to married woman

OAP Matse Uwatse Nnoli shared a really inspiring testimony on her nstagram page today that I want to share with you guys here. For those who are not married, 2014 is our year in Jesus name! Amen. Lol. Sometimes it happens when you least expect it. Read Matse's article below and believe...!
2013!! Slowly coming to an end. A year of many joys and enlightenment. If one had told me on the 31st of December 2012 when I lit fireworks and screamed "Happy New Year!" that I would be married and expecting a miracle; my mini-me, I would have doubted. If someone had told me I would be a dual citizen of Nigeria and Germany, I would have wondered how. I was terribly hurt in 2012 but in just one year my life changed forever. Some have said, "Can she ever settle down?", "Who will marry this feminist?" "Which man go put this one for house?". Well, my God has answered those questions. :-) I have grown mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I have learnt not to be selfish and more tolerant. It wasn't all roses in 2013...I lost my job that I put so much into but gratefully other doors are opening. I was sick beyond comprehension and thought I would die but God was with me.

I fought with some family members but it brought us closer. I gained better relationships with my loved ones and I acquired a brand new family (The Nnolis) and in the process of making my own. As the last days of December 2013 comes, keep believing, keep fighting and stay strong. Miracles do happen. You heart desires will be granted. Your pain will be removed and your joy established. But remember, always keep a clean heart and wish others no evil and I guaranty you, it will be well with you shortly. Lord, I thank you for 2013...It is a year I will always remember. Keep us all to enjoy the blessing of 2014.

“I like Jim Iyke, Is he not having a better life now”- Pastor TB Joshua finally opens up

Pastor TB Joshua has finally lent his voice on the much-talked-about Jim Iyke deliverance that held in his church months ago.
In a recent interview with Punch, TB Joshua of SCOAN – Synagogue Church Of All Nation – cleared the air on Jim Iyke’s deliverance and other allegations that he pays people to come and fake miracles.
On Jim Iyke
Oh please, don’t drag me into that. All I can say is that if a person needs to see a doctor, he should be free to do so. I like the young man. He has been defending himself on the internet. Is he not enjoying a better life now? Are things not working for him?
On allegations he pays people to fake miracles
How much will I give to the president of a nation to come here? Even when they come, I don’t get any financial gain but I incur cost because I want to ensure that they are well cared for. That is all; I even prefer to spend my time with the poor than to be with the presidents.
If a president visits this place today, the whole of the day will be devoted to that visit, I would have lesser time for the poor people, who need my attention. God has been warning me over this trend so much that when some presidents said that they wanted to visit me, I said no.
I said it would be better for me to visit them in their countries. Each time they visit this place, I receive query from God because of my time that should have been used to attend to the poor and the needy that are waiting for me.
One soul is not superior to the other, why should I continue to receive query? Really out of three presidents that may visit, there will hardly be one that will show good example of the counsel that they received from me. If the needy are more receptive to God, it is better to give them more of my time.

The Okoye boys in South Africa for the Channel O awards

This is the first pic of Jude Okoye with his brothers Peter and Paul Okoye since his absence at Peter's wedding to Lola two weeks ago. Peter has since said reports that his family does not support his marriage to Lola Omotayo is ridiculous.

He told Encomuim magazine;
"I saw some of those reports and was full of laughter. Everybody is just laughing because the reports are like comedy to us. Honestly, there is no iota of truth in the rumour. But it’s one of the prices you pay as a celebrity, so I remain focused.

Saheed Balogun reportedly drags wife fathia to court over name

According to unconfirmed reports, popular actor Saheed Balogun has dragged his ex-wife actress Fathia Balogun to court over the use of his name, Balogun, insisting that she drops it. The two were married for many years before ending their union, which produced three children, a few years ago.

Saheed has been trying for years to get Fathia to revert to her maiden name but Fathia has always insisted she made a career using the name and has no plans to ever drop it.
"My name is Fathia Balogun and it’s going to remain Balogun for life. Nobody can ever change that or stop me from answering that name" She said in an interview in 2011.
Well, now Saheed has reportedly gone to court to get her to drop the name. Can the courts really force her to drop her ex-husband's name? And why is Saheed so insistent on this, how does it affect him?

“it’s one of the prices you pay as a celebrity” – Peter Okoye finally reacts to alleged family crisis

Peter Okoye in a new interview with Encomium has denied the stories that his family members were not in support of his marriage to wife Lola.
See interview excerpts below:
  • Is there any iota of truth in the tale that your family didn’t support the wedding?
That is very far from being the truth. I saw some of those reports and was full of laughter. Everybody is just laughing because the reports are like comedy to us. Honestly, there is no iota of truth in the rumour. But it’s one of the prices you pay as a celebrity, so I remain focused.
  • How would you describe your wife?
Honestly, she is a wonderful woman. She has virtually all the qualities that every man would want in his ideal woman. She’s caring, loving, God-fearing, hard working – just name it, that’s my wife for you.
  • What are the sterling qualities that endeared her to your heart?
I just said that now. No man will not want to spend the rest of his life with a woman that possesses the qualities I mentioned.
  • Why was the wedding delayed till now despite you having all it takes to be a husband?
The truth is that we have always known that the wedding will come up. We just didn’t want to rush things unnecessarily. We waited for the right time.
  • Entertainers are not used to keeping one woman, how is your own case going to be different?
Entertainers don’t keep one woman? I don’t

“I feel so sad when they call me a Yoruba actress” – Ayo Mogaji

In a recent interview with a national newspaper, bilingual actress, Ayo Mogaji talked about her career and other sundry issues.
She said “I am an actress not a Yoruba actress. If you call yourself an actress, you should be able to interpret any role being given to you in as much as you understand the language. I will use the word Nollywood actress for me rather than being referred to as a Yoruba actress, because I do act both in the English and Yoruba industry. So, I feel so sad when you say Ayo Mogaji is a Yoruba actress”
See excerpts below:
What have you been up to lately?
My acting is still moving on. I am still the same old Ayo Mogaji. I am still working and not yet tired. After my movie “Jombo” in 2006, I have not produced any other movie. I have stopped producing because the market is not encouraging, so I am just a working actress. If you can pay for my job, I work with you. I just returned back to the country. I am moving in and out of Nigeria by virtue of marriage. My husband is British and it seems like everyone knows about that. He’s Dr. Ayodele Oduleye, a psychotherapist and British by birth. He lives there. I just came back from USA where I went to anchor a show.
You went off the scene at a time, why?
There was never a time I went off the scene. The only issue was I decided to limit some of my activities, because I can’t get lesser pay or do anything substandard. This is the only career I have got so if you are under paying me or not being reasonable with your offer, I move out of your job. I didn’t go anywhere; I was still in the country, I was still working. As we are talking right now, this year they have released several such as “Igba’bajo,” “Towotomo,” “Moberu,” Arinzo 1&2. Just at the tail end of last year, they released “Moberu.” While I was in the US, they released a couple of movies like “Mama Insurance.” So there has never been one time I rested on my oars. I also featured in soap operas like “Tarima.” I also used to do “Nowhere to be Found.” What I’m saying is that even when I am not in the country, you see me on your TV screen every now and then.
You’ve been around for many years. Do you have any plan to retire at all?
I love acting and this is the only thing I have done most of my life. I have been an actor even before home video came. People paid to see me perform on stage. We started on stage when the commercial viability of the acting business was not as it is now in Nigeria. Therefore, we had to do quite a lot of things to sustain ourselves. We were into radio; we were also into TV play. TV was very popular back then. I was on “Village Headmaster,” “Anter Theatre,” “Koko Close” and quite a number of other TV programmes. My major TV plays then were in “Koko Close,” “Village Headmaster” and “Den Set.” There were a lot of other series, which I acted in but I can’t remember them all anymore. We were not getting paid so much, but there was job satisfaction. We were quite happy with what we were doing. At that time, if you were a regular TV actor you were very lucky because some money would come out of it at the end of the month. So, without being immodest, I have been a household name before the advent of home video. So this is what I love. There is no age limit to acting.
You said marriage makes you travel more often now?
I am a house wife where I am coming from, and this is where my career is. Like I said, I don’t live in the US; I just try to shuffle both. If anyone needs me to do a job for them they pay for my ticket and all that comes with the job.
You play comical roles more often nowadays, why?
I play according to the character role I am given. There is a director that would tell you this is how he wants his script played like I did in “Igba’Bajo.” That was how they wanted their character to be played out. I want to believe that they specifically picked me for that character because they know I can give them what they want. My character in “Towotomo” and “Arinzo” was not comical though. There are several movies in which I didn’t act comical roles. I play my part according to what you want me to do.
Considering your status in the industry, how do you feel when you are being asked to act the role of a house maid?
I don’t have to play the lead role. If I act as a maid, that does not bother me, as long as I act my role and get my professional fee. I just believe most of them know that Ayo Mogaji would interpret the role given to her.
Most actors fight for the lead role. What do you have to say about that?
Well, I don’t know about them, I can only speak for myself.
