Click for Full Image Size

Lately, it appears that several Nigerian celebrities have gone the blonde route. As this days most of our Nigerian celebrities seems to see wearing of blond hairstyles as a new fashion which makes them stand out among their folks.

Popular Nollywood actress Tonto Dike is hardly spotted without what is fast becoming her signature blonde tress these days, as Rukky Sanda has also been known to go blonde every now and then.
But it seems the guys are not entirely left out of the equation too as few male celebrities have been known to hit the red carpet in their blonde glory .

First is Reminisce, Yung6ix and Tony Tetuila whom blonde hair-do has become is a trademark to.

But perhaps the latest and most recently talked about entrant to the list is Nollywood actor, Nonso Diobi. The former Glo ambassador who was once spotted rocking the blonde look as fiercely as any of his female movie industry counterparts.

The question is , with fashion constantly evolving and fashion items constantly crossing the gender divide, can blonde hair also come to represent strong masculinity rather than sexy femininity ?

'I can have sex with Ramsey Noah on set' - new Tinsel star, April

Joju Muse popularly known as April is the latest addition to the Tinsel family. She’s playing the role of Sammie – the hostess at Ziggies. To say she’s ready to conquer the world is stating the obvious as April is ready for almost anything even sex with Ramsey Nouah on set. Yeah, you read that right, sex on set with Mr Noah. Unfortunately he's married...so...:-)

In an interview with iCampusNG, the 26 year old Public Admin graduate from Olabisi Onabanjo University and daughter of a former senator, said she gets horny watching John Dumelo and Ramsey Noah in movies. Excerpt from the interview below...
Which Nigerian actor would you not mind kissing on set?
There are actually two of them; Ramsey Nuoah and John Dumelo. I’m so in love with both of them. Their movies hit the right spot.
Right spot? They make you horny?
Everything join together. [laughs]
So you don’t mind a sex scene with Ramsey Nuoah?
A sex scene with Ramsey? Mehn, we are doing it for real. No acting, we will do it.

A man who makes me laugh has a chance to my heart – Oma Iyasara

Oma-IyasaraBy Ayo Onikoyi
Oma Iyasara is an extraordinary, emerging talent, with a unique combination of good looks, enterprise, a good command of English with sophisticated diction.
In 2011, she enrolled in the prestigious Royal Arts Academy  owned by Emem Isong and she excelled as one of the favourite students in her time, with a certificate of excellence.
A graduate of Mass Communication from Imo State University, Oma has featured in a number of blockbusters like ‘Damage’ by Uche Jombo, ‘Secret Weapon’ alongside Eucharia Anunobi, Emeka Ike and Chika Ike among many others.
What are the biggest challenges one encounters in trying to break through in Nollywood?
One of  the greatest challenges is acceptance. There are so many talents in Nollywood, and it is not an easy task to get noticed, not to even talk of acceptance. Before you can  be seen, you need to prove yourself beyond the ordinary. And the best way to prove you are different, is to be who you truly are.
How serious is the issue of ethnic bias in Nollywood?
That issue is not peculiar to Nollywood alone. Every work place has its own issue of tribalism because everybody tends to want to favour their own people before other people. But believe me, when you are talented such trivialities cannot stop you.
Now, there are issues of pornography creeping into Nollywood, is it true pornography makes the movies more real?
I don’t think pornography makes a movie real, the way the world is now, sex sells, so pornography is just a decoy to attract people to movies. But it doesn’t work for me because it’s not in our tradition and culture
But you said if the money is right you may consider going nude for a role?
Yes, I may consider going nude to interpret a role but definitely not to the extent of going fully nude. Besides, that is why we have body doubles.
What are your selling points and have they helped you in anyway?
I will say my selling point is my jovial attitude, and my eyes. Yes, I will say they have helped in a lot of ways and will still help in the future
How have they  helped? Please explain
My jovial nature has opened doors for me in ways I can’t explain; be it in people recommending me or just wanting to help me, because they just want to see me grow.
Who are your idols in the industry?
Uche Jombo, Nse Etim Ikpe, Dakore Akande, Bimbo Akintola, Joke Silva, the list is endless.
Now, what would attract you to a man?
A good conversationalist with a good sense of humour is my kind of man, any day. If a man makes me laugh a lot, he has a chance to my heart. Then his manners and how he treats other people count. Though looks are not very important, it is an added advantage.

This is a huge public embarrassment! Celebrities are mostly seen as role models and mentors but the reverse is the case now for this popular comedian that was caught with drugs....

A very popular Ghanaian comedian, Musah Iddrisu, and a Congolese, Inana Cedrick, have been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, for ingesting drug.

Iddrisu and Cedrick were arrested during the inward and outward screening of Ethiopian airline passengers respectively at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

Mr. Udoh Nsikak-Abasi, NDLEA Commander at the airport said, “Iddrisu was found to have ingested 450 grammes of cocaine. He was on his way to Thailand. Cedrick was caught with 1.500 kilogrammes of heroin which he tried importing into the country.

“A third suspect, a Nigerian, John Nwadilichukwu, was also arrested. He was to receive Cedrick at the airport, collect the drug and pay him for smuggling the drug.”

The heroin was said to have been hidden inside a luggage. Twenty-year-old Cedrick, who claimed to be a secondary school student in Tanzania, said, “I was given the drug in Nairobi by a Nigerian woman who told me to give the drug to her husband, Nwadilichukwu, in Enugu.

“I wanted to use the money they promised to pay me in buying beads for sale in Tanzania. I am a secondary school student from a poor home.”
Iddrisu, aka Charles Udunehi, who bought the cocaine for $19,000, said he had wanted to sell them in Thailand.

He said, “I got involved in drug trafficking because of my financial predicament.

I bought the drugs in Ghana, ingested it and came to Enugu airport. As it is a new airport, I felt the security will not be like other airports, but I was wrong.”

Chairman of the NDLEA, Mr. Ahmadu Giade, said adequate efforts had been made to apprehend drug traffickers at the Enugu airport.

He said, “We have already deployed our officials to the Enugu airport before it commenced international flights. Adequate security measures have been put in place to apprehend drug traffickers at the airport.

‘My Husband Has No Issue With My Family’ – Joseph Yobo’s wife, Adaeze

Click for Full Image Size

if not mistaken family affairs of this kind should not be for the public to hear not talk less of the media...There has been rumours speculating the media for some weeks now that footballer, Joseph Yobo’s in-laws are extremely angry with him because he is yet to marry his wife, Adaeze traditionally and also another controversy that came up a week ago was the question of the actual age of the Super Eagles captain. All this is not true, Yobo’s Nigeria media representative, Abiola Aloba has said.

“The story is a misrepresentation of Joseph Yobo’s marital status. I spoke with his wife, Adaeze in Istanbul, Turkey few days ago, she just laughed it off. She said it’s only her father who can claim such and not one faceless person, who has no trace or identity.”

“The whole thing is a distraction and should not be taken serious. Her mother has been with her for the past one week. I believe if there was a problem she wouldn’t be staying that long in the first place,” Mr. Aloba added. The Igwes from Iru-Owelle village in Awka, Anambra State are said to recognize the Igba Nkwu more than their white wedding. And without that, the marriage is not yet done.

Joseph Yobo and Adaeze were joined in holy matrimony on December 31, 2009, at the Evangelical Bible Outreach Ministries International, Prayer City, Jos, Plateau State. The couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in December 2013. Presently, they are blessed with a baby boy.

However Football analyst, Dudu Orumen had dropped a bombshell claiming Joseph Yobo has no business in the present Super Eagles squad on the basis that he (Yobo) is 40 and not 33 as he claimed. This is coming at a time the former Everton FC of England defender got a recall to the Nigerian national senior team after almost a year of being left out of the team by coach Stephen Keshi.

His official date of birth as listed online is September 6, 1980, and his place of birth is Kano. The footballer left Fenerbache of Turkey in January after seeing few playing times to join Norwich City FC of England on loan all in an attempt to keep fit and make the final squad of Nigeria’s Super Eagles for the World Cup in Brazil in June 2014.

According to Mr. Aloba, “I have tried reaching him on that issue but I couldn’t. I am not sure he would want to be bothered about age controversy because presently he is concentrating on his career. He just joined Norwich City in England and getting playing time is his priority now and not distraction.”
He said finally.

Man Cancels Wedding as Bride Fails Pregnancy Test In Redeemed Church

Click for Full Image Size
When churches compel ladies who have been s**u*lly active for years to just abstain from the act over night it should be made clear that most of these ladies may just be pretending to be abstaining because of the man they want to get married to in church but they are busy getting "enough servicing" from other men.

This was the big mess that played out at a Redeemed Church branch last Saturday, 22nd February, 2014.

The Senate President's wife, Helen Mark, was to play hostess at the wedding. The bride, Cynthia worked for her and was said to be an orphan thus had become her adopted daughter. Guests got to the venue of the big wedding at about 9am but 2hrs later, neither the bride or the groom came out.

As guests started getting impatient, the groom came out, took the microphone and announced to the surprise of all guests present that he is no longer interested in the marriage...

It later turned out that the the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, that was supposed to wed them had conducted a pregnancy test for the lady 24hours before the day and the result turned out POSITIVE.

The BIG problem however is that the mam had never slépt with the lady. So, who got her pregnant? The lady on her own part insisted she was not pregnant and went to do her own pregnancy test in a different hospital and the result came out as NEGATIVE. Crazy drama in church.

Redeemed church called their doctor to do a second test and the test traced the thing and it was POSITIVE!

The church did several tests and all came out POSITIVE, but the lady is still insisting that she is not pregnant.

Could it be that she had terminated her "pregnancy" and did not know that the church's test could trace it?

The man insisted that he can't marry a woman who is pregnant for another man, and a liar. David Mark's wife and her people begged the man to forgive and marry her but he stood his ground. Never!

A source told that the man's main anger was that when they were dating she didn't allow him to go "far", meaning there was no special torching. She was trying to paint herself as a good girl before her man, so he can't go ahead and marry her since another man was enjoying what he was denied.

The lady cried but it didn't change anything. Some guests ate their rice others didn't. The man walked away!

CBN commits N1.2tr to intervention schemes

CBN commits N1.2tr to intervention schemes
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has so far committed about N1.169 trillion to various intervention schemes being promoted by the Federal Government.
Speaking yesterday at an international conference on agricultural value-chain financing held in Lagos and sponsored by Union Bank, Acting CBN Governor Dr. Sarah Alade said the funds were committed by the CBN in collaboration with the Federal Government into key economic schemes for economic development.
She listed the schemes as the Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme (N69 billion); Commercial Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme (N200 billion); the Nigerian Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (N200 billion); Small and Medium Enterprises Credit Guarantee Scheme (N200 billion).
Others are the SMEs Restructuring and Refinancing Scheme (N200 billion) and Power and Airlines Intervention Fund (N300 billion). Alade, who was represented by CBN Director of Research, Charles Mordi said schemes were meant to address the challenges confronting agriculture and agric business in the country.
She said the Federal Government and CBN instituted the intervention programmes to enable key players in the economy have access to finance adding that access to credit remains important to agricultural value-chain.
Speaking further, she said the Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme was introduced in 1978 to encourage lending to the agric sector. Alade said the scheme has up to date, supported the sector by guarantying loans to over 800,000 beneficiaries.
She said the N200 billion Commercial Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme was established in 2009, to finance large ticket agricultural enterprises along the value-chain at single digit interest rate. In its four years of existence, the scheme, she added, has helped increase capacity utilisation, from 35 to 85 per cent and also created 209 new jobs.
On the Nigerian Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), she said the project was instituted in 2010, to unlock financial resources for agricultural value-chain. The NIRSAL represents a shift from the traditional paradigm of credit delivery and encourages banks to lend to value-chain.
Explaining further, she said the N200 billion Small and Medium Enterprises Credit Guarantee Scheme was introduced to provide 80 per cent guarantee for credit guaranteed to the manufacturing sector to fast track their development. The scheme also caters for agricultural value-chain activities. She disclosed that as at December 8, 2013, a total of 65 projects valued N3.1 trillion were guaranteed.
The next scheme instituted by the parties was the N200 billion Small and Medium Enterprises Restructuring and Refinancing Scheme which has also boosted the benefices’ contributions to the economy.
Equally, the N300 Power and Airlines Intervention Fund (PAIF) were meant to facilitate intervention in the transport sector. It was meant provide long term financing that would stimulate private sector participation in the sector.
Alade said that as at December 8, 2013, the total amount released for 45 projects stood at N232.7 billion comprising of 29 power projects com, N115.7 billion, and 16 airline projects worth N116.9 billion. She said the 29 power projects financed by PAIF have a combined generating capacity of 847.4 megawats of power

Emeka Ike Does Not Have Sympathy For Himself--Landlord Speaks Out

Click for Full Image Size
Few weeks ago, news went viral that popular actor, Emeka Ike was ejected from his school's property in Magodo area of Lagos State. He was said to be owing the owner of the building housing his school, St Nicolas College in rents.

The landlord of the house, one Chief Akintan has now opened up on the matter. The 87-year-old man stated that even though he has sympathy for Emeka Ike, the actor does not have such for himself. He spoke with Saturday Sun on the matter.

The octogenarian chairman of Samak Investment Ltd, Chief Akintan wondered why the actor chose to be a pain in his neck. He said that he has sympathy for the Nollywood star, but “unfortunately, Emeka doesn’t have sympathy for himself.”

According to him, his company leased the property to the actor on June 1, 2007. Before then, he said he had never heard of Emeka’s name as his children were the ones that told him that he’s a Nollywood actor.

He said: “I never knew this gentleman from Adam. He just came to my house with his wife and I was worried about who he was and my children came to me, saying, Emeka Ike, we know him daddy; he is a nice gentleman. That is how I fell into his hands.”

He said the recommendation from his children made him enter into the lease agreement of five years which was to expire in 2012. According to him, “he was supposed to pay for the first two years N2 million each per annum and the subsequent three years N3 million per annum. The total rent for that period of five years should be N13 million. He paid N2 million for the first year and never paid again until three years later when he paid another N2.5 million. Even this N2.5 million was a tug of war before he could pay it. So, out of N13 million, he paid only N4.5 million and the balance should be N 8.5 million.”

When he wanted to take Emeka to court, he said the popular actor begged him not to do that that he would be living up to expectations.

“When I wanted to take the matter to court, Emeka wrote a letter on February 15, 2012, pleading that I’m his father and that I should halt any court process against him. Even this N2.5 million was paid in 2011, a year to the expiration of the five- year lease. After that, he issued a N1.5 million Zenith bank, Eric Moore branch cheque in my name, dated May 20, 2012, which bounced.

“Some people advised me to take him to Special Fraud Unit (SFU) of the Nigeria police; I refused because this boy is a young boy like my son, why would I do that to him; that he should leave my property.”

The relationship got worse from that moment. “After the cheque bounced, my lawyer called him over the phone, he started abusing me, threatening to deal with the lawyer and me. I never looked at what he was owing me in the past but should pay this N1.5 million. If I were to calculate his arrears, he has to pay far more but I am just satisfied with this N1.5 million.”

It was another round of battle when the matter eventually shifted to the court. Unfortunately, it was learnt Emeka’s lawyer simply identified as Bashir stopped attending court sessions at a point.

“The magistrate became frustrated. The last he came, he appealed that the matter be settled out of court. The magistrate in her own initiative transferred it to multi-door court, Igbosere. They gave us appointment but Emeka didn’t honour it.

“I can’t walk, so the two times I went there, I was carried like a baby to the court and Emeka didn’t come, but my lawyer went there three times. The magistrate at Igbosere wrote back to the one at Ikeja to go ahead with the matter since Emeka didn’t come.

“We went back to the first court and after several adjournments, neither Emeka nor his lawyer put up appearance and we were asked to give our evidence and we did, thereafter, the judgment was delivered.

“To give Emeka another opportunity, we got judgment in November 22, but the magistrate in her wisdom said we should give him one month to enable him to get himself together and move out. We were supposed to take possession by December 20, 2013 but we didn’t until January 24, when the Commissioner of Police gave us three policemen led by an Assistant Superintendent of Police to follow the Court Sheriff to eject him. They ejected him and put his property outside.”

When Emeka heard of this unsavoury development, he was said to have gone to Magodo police station and reported that thugs invaded his property after which the police arrested the two guards the landlord had stationed there.

“When in January I went to the premises, even the teachers complained that they had never seen him for many months and had not paid them salaries for nine months.

“While I was in Ondo, I got a phone call that Ekeka came to Lagos and went to Magodo police station and reported that thugs invaded his property. Police went there and arrested the guards and he put his own guards and locked the place.”

Sounding emotional, Chief Akintan said: “I’m a sick man; diabetic for 37 years. I will be 87 by my next birthday and can’t walk. I live at the grace of doctors and what nature can allow me to have. I’m immobile. I had to come back to Lagos to start another process to dislodge him. When I spoke to the DPO, Magodo police station and tendered documents, he said, so, ‘Emeka came here to tell him lies.’

“We have filed a contempt of court against him. We have taken possession of the property and about renovating it.

He is going about telling people that the place was not completed when he moved in that he put over N200 million to build it. He has done a lot of damage to the property. I sent my contractor to assess the damage; he told me that I needed between N10 million and N13 million for renovation.

“I have sympathy for Emeka, but unfortunately, he has no sympathy for himself. Emeka went to court to plead that the judgment should be set aside, that I received a kangaroo judgment; that the case should be retried. The court dismissed it, saying it was abuse of court process.

I don’t know what Emeka would do again. I have never seen a character like that before.

“His former landlord, Dr Shofoluwe was in the same position with me. He is looking for Emeka to pay N3.5 million rent arrears. He was ejected legally. This is the type of man coming to trouble me now and I don’t need cheap publicity.”

Speaking to Saturday Sun on the development, Emeka, wondered why the media should be interested in his private life

According to him, “there is a position now, because I don’t want people who have not achieved anything in their lives to use unnecessary distractions to gain prominence. It is my money and investments and it is not a national crisis.

Maybe people who think I have a larger than life image are trying to use it to make a point and I want to handle it as legal as possible.”

He noted that there can be challenges in business, stressing that he is still in possession of the school.

He added that only two entities can close down a school, either the government or the owner of the school stressing that none of that has happened.

“I’m still in possession of the school. It is only the government that has the right to shut down the school if it feels that I’m not capable and I, as the CEO, if I feel that I can’t do it again. Nobody can shut down the school and the case is in court. It should not be seen as a national crisis, I have my business in Abuja and I’m doing very well and right now I don’t like distraction,” he states

Multiple award-winning music sensational, Peter and Paul Okoye, otherwise known as P-Square, have shown that they are no pushovers. They have remained relevant in the highly competitive Nigerian entertainment industry.

Despite the threats posed by the younger singers, the group has continued to rule the showbiz industry in Africa.

For some time now, P-Square has been relentlessly working on a ground-breaking and unprecedented family-oriented animated series entitled ‘The Alingos.’ The project is an innovation from the stables of P-Classic Entertainment.

P-Classic entertainment is an entertainment company founded and controlled by the P-Square brothers and headed by Peter Okoye. The outfit is aimed at producing television contents, animation, discovering and grooming young musicians, and providing an array of entertainment to Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.

In their usual style of raising the bar in the entertainment scene, the duo is taking it a notch higher. The Alingos was inspired by the need to create a unique content for children and fill the vacuum in the media sphere for this demographic. Adults would also find the animated series appealing. The Alingos will be the first high quality animated series from Nigeria to fit local television while intelligently crafted to serve international audience as well. It will initially run as a weekly web series and then on TV.

This family animated series is just one of many surprises the duo have stocked in their goody bags to revolutionise the entertainment industry. It’s no news that P-Square has become synonymous with top class standards, reflective in the quality of their song-writing, dance and music videos.

To herald the launch of The Alingos, the brothers are releasing a teaser – an animated music video for their hit single ‘Unlimited’. It is the first high quality animated video in Nigeria and by extension the whole of Africa. This animated music video is 100% Nigerian; no foreign inputs and is created in High Definition with superior picture and sound quality, as expected from the duo. The production quality compares to anywhere in the world.

The public and fans of P-Square will get to watch the ‘Unlimited’ animated video as well as The Alingos (when it hits the screens) by first downloading the P-Square app (P2) due for release next week.

The P-Square app is another novel and exceptional concept from the creative minds of the twin brothers, to connect and interact with their numerous fans and followers all around the world.
Definitely, this app will transform the fan community and pioneer a new trend in the entertainment scene.

The app will contain an archive of exclusive pictures of P-Square, gallery of latest musical videos including all the videos from past albums, compilation of all P-Square’s songs, behind-the-scene videos, awards and concerts videos, concert tickets, events and tour dates as well as their flagship project The Alingos series. The app also integrates popular social media networks – facebook, twitter, youtube etc. into one space and serves as a platform to bring P-Square closer to their fans.

Fans and the public will have endless access to all these materials and more awesome content from P-Square in the future by downloading the P-Square app for free on andriod, iOS and windows devices.

P-Square continues to be trailblazers in the music and entertainment scene in Nigeria and the whole of Africa.

Sanusi’s Suspension Not Politically Motivated—Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan says the recent suspension of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido, is not a "political" action.

Speaking during a Presidential Media Chat held at the Aso Villa, Abuja, on Monday, President Jonathan said Sanusi was suspended to enable the Financial Reporting Council carry out a thorough investigation in its audit of the bank's financial activities.

He pointed out that Sanusi's tenure is due to end in June, and, he could make a return before then if he is cleared of any wrongdoing.

"The issue of suspension and removal are very different. Sanusi remains the CBN governor, which is why we have not named a substantive governor. What we have now is an acting CBN governor. He cannot be there while investigation goes on. If he is cleared, he will surely return to see out his tenure."

Asked whether he has the power to suspend or remove a CBN governor from office, he said: "Of course, I have absolute powers to do that. The CBN is not properly defined in the constitution and the CBN Act is ill-conceived."

Jonathan however stressed that Sanusi's removal will not affect the Nigerian financial and economic system.

It could be recalled that the governor was suspended last Thursday on allegations of financial recklessness and misconduct, which was cited in a report submitted to the President by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
