Saidi Balogun Vows Never To Speak To Fathia Balogun Again

Few years after the rift and the marriage break up of actor Saidi Balogun and actress Fatiha Balogun recently starred in Mercy Aigbe’s new movie “Life After Marriage” and that prompted talk among fans and the media that they had reconciled.

Saidi Balogun in a recent interviewed said he can never talk to her again and that throughout the movie production period their paths never crossed. He also said he has not spoken to her since the rift in 2006. “How can it happen? We didn’t even see on set of the movie, not to talk of reconciling, it’s a big joke. We have not spoken since 2006, where is the love coming from, people don’t understand what’s really going on between us. I believe that’s why they are peddling the rumor. According to the indigenous rapper, he actually made money after the release of the video ‘Kako Bi Chicken,’ during the period that Nigerians were protesting against the removal of fuel subsidy which was when he became a father.

He stated that he felt his talent was not bringing him money in Nigeria because it is a money controlled industry unlike the past when talents were better recognized.

Speaking about the display of wealth by some of his colleagues on social media, he says, he is a very reserved artiste who tries to differentiate between Reminisce the artiste and Remi the family man which makes him not being able to promote luxury.

Unless the jet belongs to Davido’s father but Davido can’t afford to have one. In fact there is no Nigerian Musician whose income is from just music can afford a private jet. This is why: After setting your account back to acquire a private jet, you start worrying about maintenance and management. 

It is expensive to maintain a private jet, you will pay for hanger, pilot and crew, Insurance etc , obviously the expenses varies wildly, depending on the aircraft being used but roughly Pilots and Crew will cost around $500,000 per year. 

Insurance – this can set you back up to $400,000 per year. Management Charges – this can cost between $125,000 and $250,000. 

They may be able to charter out the plane when not in use which will recoup some costs back.Training and Maintenance – this will add another $400,000 annually.Fuel Costs – Depends where you fly, but will cost at least $1,500 per hour. 400 hours would be $600,000.Catering – Add $10,000 for food and beverages (again there are no limits)Other Costs – Landing Fees, Airport taxes, Hangar rent, Weather Forecasting. 

So operational costs would come to around $3 million per year and more for larger aircraft.

Davido definitely can’t spend almost N400 million annually on private jet alone! He might not even muscle that out in a single cheque ! So why the deception Davido? Please don’t build your career with lies. You are doing fine without the lies.

Chris Oyakhilome's Wife, Anita Files For Divorce On Adultery Grounds

News reaching Naijatulk.com from The Cable has it that the dissolution of the marriage between Christ Embassy Church founder, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, and his wife, Rev. Anita Odegwa Oyakhilome, has entered the final phase. His wife, Anita is seeking divorce on the grounds of “unreasonable behavior” and “adultery”.

According to The Cable, she outlined several allegations against the pastor which cannot publish for legal reasons. The divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita’s behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, personal injury law and medical negligence. 

Oyakhilome is the president of Believers’ Love World Inc, the registered name of the Christian ministry, while his wife is the vice-president. The pastor, according to an elder of the church, has denied allegations of adultery and believes his wife is being influenced by “bad friends” who are intent on destroying their home. While Anita believes she has been relegated in the scheme of things in the church, her husband has reportedly accused her of trying to usurp power and authority above her seniors in the ministry.

Sources said that the pastor had been making efforts to avoid divorce in the hope that the wife would eventually have a change of mind. However, the decree nissi was served on the charismatic pastor in his hotel room during a recent visit to the UK. Decree nissi, in legal terms, is like a yellow card in a football match which is a precursor to a red card (“decree absolute”) if no new evidence is provided to stall proceedings.

Church insiders said Oyakhilome had been hoping for rapprochement, but he was left with no option than to receive the papers when the lawyers cornered him at his hotel in London. The decree absolute, which will effectively end the marriage, is expected to be issued soon while terms of the divorce will be worked out by the lawyers on both sides.

Recall that some weeks ago when some insiders of the church said it was all rumors that the couple will be divorced soon and they denied that there is any fight in the marriage. Efforts to reconcile the popular couple, whose church is one of the biggest denominations in Nigeria and has branches all over world, have failed. WHY I DON’T HAVE CHURCH BRANCHES EVERYWHERE– T.B. JOSHUA

Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua has opened up as to why his church does not have foreign branches despite his popularity abroad. 

The cleric, who spoke on Sunday 24th August 2014 at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), stressed on the need for God’s character to be fully established before ministerial expansion.

“I would have loved to have branches all over the world because people want T.B. Joshua everywhere,” he told the congregation. “But it is not yet time because it will be too much for my character. When the load is too heavy for you, it will become a burden.”

He further added that he was not moved by pleas from people but rather relied on God’s instruction. “Not where they want me but where God wants me,” he emphasised, adding that he was not in a haste or hurry and would not jump ahead of God’s timing.

“If you run before God, you cannot run after God,” he continued, explaining that this had been the bane of many businessmen and pastors as their desire to expand superseded their level of character.

His views stand in stark contrast to the popular notion that the amount of branches a church has is indicative of its level of success.

“In a situation where you become so great without God’s character, it means the end is going to be bad,” Joshua went on further to explain, reminding congregants of Jesus’ words in John 14:27 that the world too could provide wealth and fame although with conditions attached.

“When you see someone who is great without God’s character, don’t admire him – pray for him because the beginner is not the owner but the finisher... The beginning and middle are off-record; the end is what will put the record straight.”

The cleric stated that it was even better not to have fame and popularity than to achieve what would eventually end in calamity.

“Character is the one that carries whatever we become. If your wealth is bigger than your character, that wealth will be spending you, not you spending it.”

Joshua stated that one of the secrets of his ministerial success was not being driven by money, explaining that some worshippers were still under canopies in his church not because he lacked the financial capacity to expand but because he was waiting on God.

“There is money to build but money cannot dictate for me. We could expand this place (The SCOAN) and build the biggest church in the world but I allow the Source of money to tell me what to do, not the money itself.”

Joshua also bemoaned the way people complained about their problems as if they bore no responsibility for them, adding that their challenges were not a consequence of God leaving them but rather their choice to live contrary to His ways.

“God does not want you to suffer but you want to suffer,” he soberly stated. “God is always with you but you are not with Him.”

Joshua, who has been the center of several controversies especially within the fold of Nigerian Christendom, added that if not for his persecutors, he would have remained a street-preacher.

According to him, detractors motivated God to bestow more favour and mercy upon his ministry, adding that no billboard can be found advertising The SCOAN yet visitors flock from around the world 

“If God has called you, the more they block your way, the more that trouble and temptation, the more God’s love is provoked… Each attempt to stop you asks for more evidence from God.”

The cleric concluded with some profound advice for Christians, calling on them to change their style of prayer. According to Joshua, prayers for blessing, healing and protection were redundant as God is fully aware of the challenges of His children and does not require reminding.

“You need to block the avenue satan is using to afflict you – your weaknesses,”Joshua counseled. “Your prayer should be against weaknesses.” 

He further clarified that prayer alone was not enough, stating that genuine desire to desist from bad habits and weaknesses was also essential. 

“Live the life of your prayer,” he told the congregation, citing an example that praying for God to help you stop smoking and then picking up a cigarette immediately was akin to hypocrisy. “God always leaves us to play our role before He comes to our rescue,” he concluded.

Is Tonto Really A Varsity Graduate With Her Poor English Vocabulary?

It beats my imagination to see that an actress and a song writer that fakes an American ascent in movies could have a poor English vocabulary. Also, it baffles me how she writes poorly, only God knows if her maid would not write good English better than her. Apologies to Onyinye.

It seems obvious that Tonto Charity Dikeh, who claimed to have been admitted into Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, where she studied Petro-Chemical Engineering, cannot correctly write down what she says in English.

Recently, the actress has been posting numerous write-ups on her social media pages using abbreviations. Though some thought her consistent use of abbreviations was part of the norm associated with social media users, but findings have shown otherwise. Tonto Dikeh’s case is beyond such.

Not too long ago, the actress posted a picture and she wrote, “God plz Guide n protect my country NIGERIA, cuz it seemz the 10pledge (plague) iz falln on us, 1st Boko haram 2nd The kidnapping 3rd Bombing 4th Killing 5th Ebola!!!!God plz abeg ooo we ur children dey loya biko save us”. 

After reading her write-up that was taken over by abbreviations, one can conclude that Tonto’s vocabulary is poor. At this stage, how would an educated public figure she claims to be not know the difference between ‘pledge’ and ‘plague’? 

In another post of hers, Tonto wrote, “U see ur life u beta grow up oo n stop hating cuz Ebola iz real ooo beta go market n buy sanitary (sanitizer) n start protecting urself”.

Dear Tonto, ‘sanitary’ is a word used when relating to good health, it is not bought and also not an item bought to prevent Ebola. Instead, you get a ‘sanitizer’. 

Maybe Tonto is just a reflection of Nigeria’s educational system or that of Rivers State.

Former group member of the defunct gospel group, KUSH, Lara George, has explained why she decided to go solo as a gospel artiste. Lara, disclosed that during the time the group were together, music was a bit difficult and also very expensive and as such, there was no finance to sustain the group. According to the singer, “I was a bit upset about the KUSH break-up. I felt like I had put my whole life on hold just to accommodate KUSH but it ended that way, this made me decided never to do music again. According to the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye he was almost seduced by a married woman who a high profile woman He told the story during his sermon at the on-going 62nd annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in order to encourage attendees to always depend on God. Pastor Adeboye said that the woman came to him and announced to him that God had told her that he would be her husband, and immediately he rebuked her, saying, “you know that I am happily married and have children.” That didn’t deter the woman who continued to pester him, and even came to the camp to threaten him, saying “if you stand on my way to marrying this man, I will kill you.” According to Vanguard, Pastor Adeboye took the matter to the Inspector General of Police who immediately invited the woman and her husband to his office and after a meeting banned the randy woman from entering the Redemption Camp or ever making passes at the man of God. “But that measure didn’t stop her. I travelled to London without telling anybody, to work on the church’s devotional, Open Heaven. As soon as I settled down in the room, the telephone rang and the voice at the other end said: “welcome to London. I am coming in 15 minutes." EBOLA CURE? T.B. JOSHUA SENDS 4,000 ‘ANOINTING WATER’ TO SIERRA LEONE, GIVES $100,000 IN HUMANITARIAN AID

Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua announced in his service today that 4,000 bottles of his ‘Anointing Water’ had reached Sierra Leone and were received by ‘government officials’, to spiritually fortify the country in their fight against the deadly disease, Ebola.

According to the outspoken pastor, a private jet was chartered to the tune of $50,000 to convey the spiritual items to the Ebola-stricken nation yesterday.

An additional $50,000 was also given in humanitarian aid to the victims of the disease, courtesy of Joshua and his ‘Emmanuel TV Partners’.

Before ministering to foreign visitors at his ‘prayer line’ service, Joshua then gave a stern warning to Nigeria about the way the Ebola crisis was being handled.

“Ebola is not Nigeria's challenge,” he began. “Our challenge is insecurity. It is a strange ailment. That someone from another country for an ECOWAS meeting and died of Ebola does not mean Nigeria is not safe," he stated, adding that fear-mongering in the media was only making matters worse.

“To the extent we talk bad about Nigeria, to that same extent our name is destroyed,” the cleric defiantly continued, bemoaning the name Nigeria was being given in the international community because of the news projected.

“This is a country under repair because of what Boko Haram has done to the nation. Don’t damage it more. This nation is safe. If there is any challenge, we have what it takes to surmount it,” he stated, calling on Nigerians to learn from the way Ghana protected the name of their nation.

He added that two deaths recorded in the most populated African country from Ebola did not merit a state of emergency as announced by President Goodluck Jonathan. “All of this is propaganda,” Joshua angrily stated.

“When a little thing happens, you exaggerate it because you are looking for funds. How much can the international community give to us that can redeem the name Nigeria we are soiling? A beggar always remains a beggar. Africa, stop begging – you have what it takes to solve your problems.”

Joshua further decried the news that some African nations had closed their borders to the countries affected by the Ebola outbreak, stating that it negated the premise of African unity.

“What is the meaning of African unity? The wound of an African is the wound of all Africans. The wound of one is the wound of all. A nation that stands to solve the problem of other nations will become successful,” he added.

“We should rise up and see the wound of others as our wound. Stand up to the occasion and help instead of closing your borders against your African brothers.”

Joshua concluded that giving citizens proper education about the disease was important but the spread of the disease should not be maliciously exaggerated.

“That does not mean you should use it to destroy the name of Nigeria as if it is here. It’s not! Protection and prevention – that should be our assignment in Nigeria,” he said.

The fear of Ebola did not seem to deter foreigners flocking to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) as nearly 2,000 visitors arrived in Nigeria this week alone to worship at the international church.
