Boy remanded for allegedly raping 3 children


Mararabe - An Upper Area Court in Mararaba, Nasarawa State on Friday remanded a 15-year-old boy in prison custody for alleged raping three children.

The accused, who lives in Rafin Kwara Masaka, was charged for allegedly raping two sisters, one, six years old, the second 10 months and another eight years old in the  same house.

 The police prosecutor, Insp. Joseph Ahua, told the court that the matter was reported by the victim’s parents at Masaka Police Station on Sept. 12.

He said that the accused was arrested and during police investigation he confessed to committing the offence.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge and applied for his bail.

The presiding officer, Vincent Gwehemba, however refused the bail application and ordered the accused to be remanded in prison pending final investigation on the matter.

He adjourned the case till October 16 for further hearing.
