A popular radio presenter with Wazobia FM, Lagos, Pius-Junior Opute, better known as Diplomatic OPJ, has been granted bail by a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court. The comic On Air Personality was accused of peeing in a drainage in Lekki and allegedly resisted arrest.At the court, the prosecutor, Sgt. Daniel Ighodalo, told the Magistrate, Mrs. Olaitan Ajayi, that OPJ, a staff member of Wazobia 95.1 FM, was caught urinating at Marwa Bus Stop, Lekki, adding that he (OPJ) resisted arrest and obstructed a free flow of traffic around the Lekki Toll Plaza.
The radio presenter pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum. The court later adjourned the matter to June 18 for further hearing.
